Richard K. Lodge, the former editor of The Daily News, retired at the end of 2021 but maintains his passion for research and writing. A resident of Newburyport, he has long had a strong concern for and interest in the health of our environment. His belief in the value and power of oysters and their potential to make a contribution in this area is noteworthy.
