Lon Hachmeister
Director

Lon serves as an expert consultant for coastal and freshwater resource planning and management.  He was associate director for Battelle Memorial Institute's Marine Science Laboratory and managed their Coastal Resources and Environmental Management Division water and natural resources program. Previously, he served as the Foster Wheeler Environmental national director for water and natural resources. His career has focused on: multidisciplinary resource evaluations; water basin planning, management, and restoration; coastal and estuarine process studies related to ecological systems; and sustainable natural resources development.  He recently co-managed the Merrimack River Users Survey to determine the perceived impacts of CSO releases into the river on overall river health and quality.  He currently serves with the Merrimack Conservation Partnership/The Nature Conservancy Conservation Planning Advisory Committee, the Merrimack River Collaborative, and the ACES Board of Directors.
